About Volume Booster

Volume Booster makes quiet audio louder with two powerful options.

  • Gain Boost: Add up to +20 dB or cut by up to -20 dB with the slider.
  • Normalize: Automatically scale the whole file so its peak hits near maximum — loud without clipping.
  • Peak Meter: See the current peak level of your file before you boost it.

Perfect for fixing quiet recordings, podcasts, phone videos and voice memos that are hard to hear.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make audio louder?

Upload a file, set the boost anywhere from -20 dB to +20 dB, optionally tick Normalize, and click Boost & Download.

What does Normalize do?

Normalization scans the file for the loudest peak and scales the whole audio up so that peak reaches near maximum — the loudest possible level without clipping.

Will boosting distort my audio?

If you boost more than 0 dB, loud parts may clip. Use Normalize to get safe maximum volume, or use moderate boost for quiet recordings.
